What makes Farmery fruit special?

At Farmery, we do not source the fruit from the Mandi. These farmers ensure that that fruits are naturally ripened (without using any ripening agents) and are sent to you within 3-4 days from the day of harvest, ensuring maximum freshness of fruits that come to you.

Are these Organic Fruits?

All the fruits available via Farmery are grown by concsious and responsible fruit farmers from across the country. These farmers grow the fruits organically without using chemical pesticides and insecticides. All the farmers have been vetted by us for their agricultural practices. Only the farmers who have organic certification are marked as organic farmers on the platform. Other farmers provide us lab tests to acertain that there is no chemical residue on the fruit that you consume. There are also farmers who follow Zero Budget Natural Farming - a cow based farming methodology - which believes in 100% natural agricuture. We go to great lenghts to ensure that the fruit you eat is grown responsible and is clean of any chemicals.

Where are these farmers based?

Depending on the region that a particular fruit grows in - we have a network of farmers across the length and breadth of India. Right from Kerala to Kashmir and from Manipur to Gujarat, our farmer network ensures that you get the best fruit, best quality and best condition reaches your doorstep in the shortest possible time from harvest.

If a fruit grows in this country and is there is a demand for the same - we have a farmer who can fulfill the requirement. All fruits are available seasonally and are only provided throughout the harvest season. We avoid any non seasonal or cold storage fruit.

What is the process of ordering?

Farmery fruit works on a pre-order basis. Orders are collected for individual fruits for 4 days in a week. The same order is then given to the farmer, based on which he harvest the fruit, sorts it, packs it and dispatches it to our Hub in Gurgaon. The fruit goes through a quality check at our end and is packed in smaller boxes as per your order. The same is delivered to you - the next day after it arrives to us. This ensure that you not only get the freshest fruit but also have more time to store and consume the fruit according to your liking.

Our most popular product surely are our fruit baskets. Designed for all kinds of families, you can take the one of your choice. We ensure that we make you taste the maximum variety of seasonal fruits available. Other than this we also have specialized baskets like the Immunity Booster Pack and Everyday fruit pack to meet the different requirements of your household. You can order individual fruits and same will be delivered to you on the expected arrival date mentioned on the website.

What happens if a rotten fruit is delivered to me?

Incase the delivered fruit is not upto your expectations, all you need to do is click a picture of the produce and send a message explaining what is the issue with your order and we will replace your order completely or refund the amount. Be rest assured you will get maximum value for what you pay.

If we are eliminating the middle man - why is the fruit still expensive?

It all depends on what you are comparing the fruit with. Farmery's organically grown fruit is cheaper when compared to other organic stores in the city. Also the fruit is naturally ripened. The biggest factor right now is the big logistics cost that the farmer has to bear to send smaller orders to the city. As the orders grow, the costs will get corrected and we will be able to transfer that benefit to our patrons.

How do you ensure that the fruit is organically grown?

All farmers who sell via Farmery have been visited by our team and properly vetted. Only farmers who can give us a copy of the certification are marked Organic on the platform. Farmers who share lab reports are marked as chemical residue free. The entire certification process is very expensive for small farmers - hence we physically visit the farm, understand their farming methodology and ascertain whether they are organic or not. When you eat the fruit - the taste itself will ensure that the fruit is organically grown and naturally ripenend.

Fruits : I've had cow's milk when I was a child, and it was always yellow in colour. But the milk you supply is white. Is it really cow's milk?

Fruits : Yellow color in milk is mainly due to presence of carotenoid. Some breeds have high amounts of it while others have low amount of carotenoid generation hence the yellow tinge in the milk can vary by breed, the food and other factors. Presence of less yellow tinge is nothing to worry about. It is due to the fresh seasonal diet fed to the cows. After boiling and refrigerating the milk, you can witness that the malai/cream layer on the top is slightly yellow (you can say tinge of yellow),

Fruits : If it's full-fat cow's milk, why isn't there any thick malai on it after it is boiled and cooled?

Fruits : Full fat milk from cow cannot be compared with conventional brands milk, because the latter is mainly buffalo milk. Also, in conventional brands, cream/fat is added as per percentage proportions to make different variants. Conventional full cream brands contain 6% fat. Cow full fat milk cannot be more than 4.5% fat because it is the natural lactating property of the cow that its light in terms of fat, thus easy to digest. Thats why its widely known that cow milk fat is GOOD FAT

Fruits : Can I add/change my milk requirement if Im travelling or have guests over?

Fruits : Yes, you can do it latest by 8.30 pm a day before you want the quantities to be modified. Best method is to install Farmery Android app from Google Playstore and use the app to make modifications to your milk calendar. Alternatively, just call/ whatsapp at the Farmery Care number, minimum one day in advance if you want more/ less quantity of milk, or want to suspend the deliveries while travelling.
